Association for software testing promotion code

Organizers will enforce this code throughout our events. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. Please contact [email protected]. Our conferences are dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or lack thereof , or technology choices.

We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.

Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Sponsor staff are also protected by the anti-harassment policy. It is a good question. I was asked that by a manager I had several years ago and it is still relevant. We expect that both you and your testers are adults, but the relationship dynamics are similar. It only seems reasonable then to make arrangements for people visiting Grand Rapids for CAST to visit some of these establishments.

Last year, CAST hit capacity at participants and sold out. This year seats are going fast! There are still seats for two, but they are limited. If you want a tutorial act quickly! We believe the courses that some use to prepare for them may be good ones.

AST still does not certify attendees, only documents their completion of the course. The position of AST remains firmly that employers should not require certification of applicants or employees, and that skill is acquired by practice, not training alone. The Association for Software Testing is an international non-profit professional association with members in over 50 countries.

AST is dedicated and strives to build a testing community that views the role of testing as skilled, relevant, and essential to the production of faster, better, and less expensive software products. We value a scientific approach to developing and evaluating techniques, processes, and tools. We believe that a self-aware, self-critical attitude is essential to understanding and assessing the impact of new ideas on the practice of testing.

We are not a certification body and do not endorse any certification programs. Many people have written about this including many leaders and teachers in our community : Cem Kaner has proposed an advanced certification , and as the creator of BBST , has thought a great deal about teaching software testing.

Why Not Require Certification? Certification Today Entry-level testing certifications are knowledge-based and easy to achieve. About AST The Association for Software Testing is an international non-profit professional association with members in over 50 countries.
