Facilitated by TASA since , the program annually recognizes and rewards teachers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in teaching. Classroom teachers, school librarians, and counselors who teach students at least four hours per day are eligible; administrators are not. To do so, they must complete the online Texas Teacher of the Year application by the deadline.
